  Scheuler named new VP, sales, for REV Bus

Scheuler’s responsibilities will cover REV shuttle and school bus, which is comprised of some of the industry’s leading brands  -  Champion Bus, Collins Bus, ElDorado National-Kansas, Federal Coach, Goshen Coach, World Trans, and Krystal  -  that manufacture light and medium-duty commercial buses for public transit, paratransit, airport, parking, hotel/resort, group tour, assisted living, church, university transportation, and school bus markets.

REV Group Inc. named Matt Scheuler its VP, sales, for REV Bus.

Scheuler will lead all sales and strategic planning across REV bus companies based in Salina, Kansas; South Hutchinson, Kansas; and Imlay City, Michigan. He will be reporting directly to Ian Walsh, COO of REV Group.

"I’m thrilled to have Matt Scheuler leading the sales and strategic efforts across our bus division. Matt has demonstrated excellent leadership and results as the VP and GM of Collins Bus the last 5 years," commented Walsh.

Scheuler has been with Collins bus since 2007 and has held several key leadership roles including VP, sales and marketing; director, sales; and leadership roles with special projects and aftermarket service and support.

  GreenPower receives order for 100 EV Star Min-eBuses

Green Commuter ordered 100 GreenPower Motor Company Inc. EV Star All-Electric Min–eBuses. The 25-foot EV Star is available in executive and high-density seating configurations with an operational range of up to 150 miles on a single charge and is ideally suited for vanpooling, car-sharing, and shuttle services.

Green Commuter is an all-electric vanpool provider based in California that offers vanpooling, car sharing, shuttle service, and fleet replacement. Currently, Green Commuter’s fleet is comprised entirely of electric vehicles that include Tesla Model X vehicles.

The EV Star seats up to 19 passengers and can be configured with either a Level 2 J-1772 or a CCS DC Fast combo charge system, which allows for optimal flexibility in route planning for any duty cycle. EV Stars can be supplied with Wheelchair lifts to meet ADA requirements. GreenPower will be working with Green Commuter to install the charging infrastructure

GreenPower presently has over 30 EV Stars in production with initial deliveries commencing in May. GreenPower will be ramping up production to deliver 10 EV Stars per month to Green Commuter starting this summer.

Meanwhile, Mark Ramljak has been promoted to chief operating officer. Ramljak joined Krapf in 2013, bringing more than 30 years of school bus industry knowledge to the table.

WEST CHESTER, Pa.  -  Krapf School Bus has named two new executives to its leadership team  -  one in a newly-formed position.

The school bus company's chief operating officer, Jim Folkes, has accepted the new role of vice president of communications.

In this position, Folkes will have responsibility for the development of the communication strategy for Krapf School Bus. He will contribute to Krapf's organizational strategic planning process and work to promote, enhance, and protect the company's brand reputation, with a goal of advancing its position with relevant constituents, as well as to drive broader awareness of the company.

Folkes joined Krapf School Bus in 2010. With more than three decades in the school bus industry, he has brought considerable leadership experience to the company.

Krapf School Bus stated in a news release that from the start, Folkes has had a positive vision for Krapf School Bus, and his many accomplishments during the past nine years are proof of his commitment and belief in the company and its employees. Folkes is well-respected not only by his peers, but by the Krapf staff and personnel at all levels, and he has been a great mentor to many, the company added.Folkes is also a 2016 National School Transportation Association (NSTA) Hall of Fame Award winner.

Meanwhile, Mark Ramljak has been promoted to chief operating officer. Ramljak joined Krapf in 2013, bringing more than 30 years of school bus industry knowledge to the table.

In fact, Folkes played a major role in bringing Ramljak to the Krapf team as the vice president of operations for its western unit. As such, Ramljak was instrumental in working within Krapf's Septran division to improve and update its processes and systems and to improve its financial performance.

Krapf School Bus added that despite implementing considerable improvements, when the opportunity to sell the company arose, the company's board of directors determined that it would be in its best interest to do so.
