Coach Atlantic Maritime Bus and Prevost have reached an agreement for an order of 100 coaches for the coming years. The order comes in just before the end of Prevost’s 100th anniversary year.
"For 100 years, Prevost has been making Quebec shine at home and abroad with its quality products and exemplary service," said Christine Fréchette, minister of economy, innovation and energy and minister responsible for regional economic development. "This Quebec flagship makes us proud, and I salute the commitment of the workers in Chaudière-Appalaches who keep the Prevost brand alive and growing."

The American Bus Association Foundation (ABAF) released the highly anticipated 2024 Motorcoach Census, providing a comprehensive analysis of the motorcoach industry in the U.S. and Canada for the year 2023. The report, conducted by Tourism Economics, underscores the industry's remarkable resilience and recovery in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, highlighting key growth trends and its critical role in passenger transportation.
Size, Impact of the Industry
The 2024 Census reveals the motorcoach industry comprised 2,056 companies operating 25,235 motorcoaches across the U.S. and Canada. The companies delivered 38 billion passenger miles while traveling an impressive 1.1 billion miles. Employment in the sector also reached a significant milestone, supporting 70,267 jobs.................................

Small Businesses Can’t Take Eyes Off Corporate Transparency Act |

The federal law which requires small businesses to report their owners landed in legal limbo after a judge issued an injunction that is being appealed. For the small businesses supporting school transportation, the Corporate Transparency Act may be more than a speed bump in 2025.
In hopes of preventing criminals from hiding illegal acts through corporate anonymity, Congress passed the Corporate Transparency Act in 2021, sandwiched into a larger 1,482-page defense bill. The law initially took effect on Jan. 1, 2024, requiring companies to disclose stakeholder information to the Department of Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, or FinCEN, by Jan. 1, 2025.
In an order that called the law outright Orwellian, however, a federal judge on Dec. 3 granted an injunction blocking the Corporate Transparency Act from being enforced - a decision that U.S. attorneys quickly appealed, putting the fate of the act in legal limbo..........................
