Premiere Transportation acquires Northeast Shuttle, expands regional service |

Premiere Transportation, one of largest transportation providers in the Capital Region of New York, has acquired Northeast Shuttle of Troy in a move that expands its presence and enhances its capacity to serve educational institutions, corporations, and group travelers across Upstate New York.
The acquisition, finalized earlier this spring, adds several shuttle vehicles and longstanding client relationships to Premiere's operations. Northeast Shuttle will continue to operate under its existing brand, but with all day-to-day operations now managed from Premiere's Albany facilities. Customers are promised a seamless transition under the new ownership.
"When John Ryan, from Northeast Shuttle, approached us with this opportunity, we were thrilled," said David J. Brown, president of Premiere Transportation.

Vintage bus open house rolls into

The Pacific Bus Museum will open its doors to the public for its annual Summer Open House on Sunday, Aug. 17, offering a rare chance to explore all of its vintage and modern buses.
The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the museum, 37974 Shinn St. in Fremont, California.
Admission is free.
Visitors will be able to view and photograph a wide array of antique coaches, including highlights such as a 1924 Fageol Safety Coach, once operated by Peninsula Charter Lines, and a 1991 Gillig Phantom from AC Transit. Most of the museum's operational buses will be open for interior viewing, and additional visiting buses may join the lineup.......................................

South Carolina Parent Runs School Bus Off Road After Alleged Child Assault |

An irate South Carolina father is being accused of running a school bus with 19 student passengers off the road after authorities say his child was allegedly assaulted by a school bus monitor.
The Marlboro County Sheriff's Office released a statement on May 23 confirming that two individuals had been charged in connection with a physical altercation involving a student on a school bus the day before.
According to the statement, allegations were brought forward from statements obtained by the Marlboro County School District officials from students on the bus, indicating that bus monitor Sharona Ford Cooper had physically assaulted a student after the student refused to remain seated in assigned seating............................................
