FTA Updates Low or No Emission Grant Program to Allow More Flexibility |

The United States Department of Transportation (US DOT) has announced a policy update affecting the Low or No Emission Grant Program administered by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA).
Under the direction of Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy, the FTA will now allow grant recipients to request changes to their proposals, enabling a shift from zero-emission to low-emission technologies if desired.
The change follows feedback from transit agencies and public officials regarding the technical and financial challenges of implementing zero-emission transit solutions. According to the USDOT, the revised policy is intended to provide agencies with greater flexibility to choose technologies that align with their operational needs and budgets..................

Sam's Limousine and Transportation has expanded its luxury fleet with the addition of 13 new J4500 motorcoaches. The recent delivery brings Sam's fleet to 50 fully customized, late-model J4500 coaches, making the Houston-based company one of the largest Motor Coach Industries (MCI) operators in Texas.
"The J4500 remains the industry benchmark for luxury and performance," said Omar Ghandour, president of Sam's Limousine and Transportation. "MCI continues to deliver the quality, reliability, and brand presence our customers demand."
The new coaches feature premium amenities, including custom limo-style interiors, metallic blue exteriors with chrome accents, advanced onboard entertainment systems, WiFi connectivity, and ADA-compliant wheelchair lifts........................

Transfinder, RIDE Win Big in STN EXPO Innovation Awards |

Transfinder took home best hardware, software and safety technology awards for the second consecutive year and RIDE won best green technology for the third year in a row, as judged by STN EXPO West attendees during the trade show held July 14 and 15.
The 153 attendees who cast votes in the fourth annual STN EXPO Innovation Choice Awards represented a rise in participation from last year's 125 votes. Exhibitor and guest votes were not counted. Eligible voters represented school districts, state or federal organizations, Head Start agencies, and school bus contractors.
To be eligible for an entry, participating trade show vendors had to introduce a new, market-ready product between January 2024 and July 2025. STN EXPO attendees voted by scanning a QR code at participating company booths.
The Schenectady, New York, company received 114 votes for Best Safety Technology, 123 votes for Best Hardware and 121 votes for Best Software. It was the fourth year in a row that Transfinder won the Best Software category, the third consecutive year winning Best Hardware, and the second year it took all three categories..................................................
