Prevost says it holds the largest market share in the North American motorcoach industry, citing sales data from the American Bus Association, while its flagship H3-45 model has become the continent’s best-selling 45-foot coach.
The company, a subsidiary of Volvo Group, said that the H3-45 leads its segment based on vehicle registration data from S&P Global Mobility. The redesigned coach debuted at the United Motorcoach Association’s Motorcoach EXPO in January 2023 and first reached the top sales position that same year, Prevost said. It has led overall coach sales since the second quarter of 2024.
Prevost said the updated H3-45 delivers up to 12% better fuel economy and nearly a 50% reduction in wind noise in the driver area. The coach is powered by a next-generation Volvo D13 engine that the company says runs 6% cleaner than Environmental Protection Agency standards.
