Prevost President François Tremblay has seen his job leading the North American motorcoach manufacturer grow more challenging and dynamic over the past decade, as regulatory pressure and rapid technological changes reshape the industry.
That includes a new push into electrification, with the company planning to introduce its first electric motorcoach later this year.
"The pace of change is remarkable, and we're staying focused so we can keep moving with the market," Tremblay said.
He recently spent the day talking with customers and employees as Prevost marked the expansion of its Goodlettsville service center, using the event to gather feedback from operators navigating those same challenges.........................

ENC to Supply 10 AXESS Transit Buses to Academy Bus |

US bus manufacturer ENC has received an order from Academy Bus for the supply of 10 additional 40-foot AXESS heavy-duty clean diesel transit buses. The announcement was made at the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) Mobility Conference in Salt Lake City, where ENC is exhibiting its transit vehicle range.
The latest agreement follows Academy Bus orders for 25 buses placed during 2025, bringing its total purchases of AXESS vehicles from ENC to 35 buses. The vehicles are expected to support the operator's contract service operations for existing customers.
ENC's Altoona-tested AXESS platform is built with a 304-grade stainless steel body structure and is available with several propulsion options, including clean diesel, compressed natural gas, diesel-electric hybrid and battery-electric configurations. The buses are also designed to meet ADA accessibility requirements and can be configured with different floorplans and mobility features.............................

| New Jersey School Bus Hits, Kills 7-Year-Old Pedestrian |

A 7-year-old boy died after being struck by a school bus moments after exiting his vehicle in Gloucester County, New Jersey.
According to a news release from the Greenwich Township Police Department, officers responded around 3:40 p.m. May 8 to reports of a "pedestrian motor vehicle crash involving a juvenile and a school bus."
When officers arrived at the scene, they joined nearby residents in administering emergency medical aid to the child before Gloucester County Emergency Medical Services took over treatment efforts. The boy was transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he later died from his injuries, police said.
Authorities later identified the child as Hunter Smith of Gibbstown. Investigators said they believe the crash happened shortly after the boy exited the school bus. The incident stunned residents in the neighborhood, as emergency lights filled the streets while first responders worked to save the child........................
